Wallpaper: Construction Blueprint Boys Room

Today’s wallpaper series design is fit for a busy little boy! One who likes to build things and zoom around. I found this larger print (not as large pictured here) wallpaper that I think would be a perfect one wall accent in a bedroom or playroom. Match the other walls to the neutral cream background and there’s so much room to build around the design 😉 I chose a couple simple wall prints that could be on another wall or layer over the wallpaper. Never be afraid of mixing prints! Check out the fun accents in this design to. A stuffed truck toy, truck piggy bank, and of course wooden blocks fit for any imaginative kid. Let me know what you think! XO – G

Wallpaper: Savanna Safari Nursery

Welcome back! It’s Friday and I have another design series to kick off today. The next 4 designs will be all about wallpaper! It may seem dated, but the fun patterns and colors have really been making a comeback the last few years. I think it adds a special touch to any space, big or small. And in nurseries, the trend is to have an accent wall. Why not add a perfect print to build a design around! I’ve found that US Wall Decor has a really great selection of prints. Today I found this sweet neutral animal print. I loved that I could play more into the grey undertones, with pops of warm neutrals in the picture frames and baskets. Take a look at the design below and let me know what you think! XO – G

Color Series: Master Bedroom

Hi everyone and welcome to the final design in this color series! Today I’ve used Benjamin Moore’s STAINED GLASS. It’s a blue paint hinted with green leading me to create a cozy space fit for the Winter mountains. Something about this color and the Holidays upon us that had me picturing a luxury spa resort in the mountain. The canopy bed is dramatic, while the wood toned nightstands are a soft touch. Don’t forget that fun cozy sheepskin bench. This one may be a little out there, but it’s different! Let me know what you think! And as always – thanks for stopping by. XO, G

Color Series: Boys Nursery

Welcome to the 3rd color inspired design in this series! We all know that neutrals are trendy, a monochromatic color palette, but would you think to go darker? Today’s design was inspired by Benjamin Moore’s 2025 Color Trends – Chowning’s Tan and Leather Saddle Brown. The two also pair beautifully with a creamy white if you want a brighter space with a darker accent wall. But I love a room styled to keep you feeling warm and cozy, and I think this one does just that by bringing in these dark brown tones. Also, how sweet is the Blessed Are the Children art piece above the crib. Take a look below and let me know what you think! XO – G

Color Series: Girls Room

Pinks & Purples, what could be better?! Today’s color series design is featuring Benjamin Moore’s 2025 Color of the Year – Cinnamon Slate! I’ve also included Tissue Pink, the perfect accent color to lighten the moody purple undertone color. These two colors together led me to florals and lots of pinks. Most of these pieces could be styled in a nursery and keep with your child’s room for years to come. It’s sweet, yet sophisticated. Just what sugar & spice is all about! Styling Spaces: Nursery & Kids

Another Friday, another design! Today we are wrapping up my design series ‘Styling Spaces’, and this one is for the nurseries and kids rooms. When it comes to designing spaces for your little ones, you don’t need much for décor pieces. The focus is going to be on the wall art and adding special touches here and there. You don’t want them grabbing breakables throughout their room! I curated the below pieces typical to my other nursery designs and what’s most important. Wall shelves and an art piece, plus practical storage. I added here a fun elephant piggy bank, coordinating picture frames and the ultimate stuffed animals by Jellycat. You have to check them out if you aren’t already familiar! Let me know if you have questions as you shop. As always, thanks for stopping by! XO, G

Modern Vintage Glam Nursery: Budget Series

The last nursery of this budget design series… but this one is for the budget breakers! Who’s with me?! I very much still stuck around our original price target of $1,500 for furniture and a few décor pieces, but it was time to change it up. I wanted to end on something unexpected and different, and this design says it all! I am loving the darker furniture color here and the cranes wallpaper. The black and acrylic crib is different, but pairs so well with this luxury vintage flared inspired room. I envisioned a wallpaper focal art piece, and that’s where this print comes into play. Imagine it framed out however small or large you want to go on your focal wall. Our furniture was a save here still, but the recliner and glider rocker from Namesake was our splurge. Can you guess how over budget I went? We reached a budget total of about $1,910. There’s always a little bit for everyone when it comes to designing and sticking to a budget! Thanks so much for following along these past 4 weeks. Stay tuned for our next design series! XO – G

Monochromatic Jungle Nursery: Budget Series

We’ve all seen the neutral nurseries. Cream is the color! But what about sticking to all blues, purples or pinks?! Today’s nursery was inspired by my first neutral nursery, but I wanted to stray away from the cream colored palette. I found myself sticking to a blue gray color base. The rug is our pop of art here, with the coordinating wall color. But the rest of the pieces and colors are very monochromatic. I think this design is peaceful in a way, with a lot of room to grow for styling if you’d like. Maybe add another pop of color to the crib sheets or changing pad cover. When sticking to a budget, the big pieces are where your money is going to go, but keep the décor simple and you still have a perfect space for your little cub to grow. Today’s total was $1,162. Just one more week of sticking to a budget here! Haha. I hope you are enjoying this series. We’ll see you back soon – XO, G

Vintage Boys Room

Hi everyone and happy Monday! I am not sure where February went, I looked back at my last post and realized it has been almost a month. I am back today though with another design! I wanted to design a bedroom for a boy that could stay with him through toddler years to teen years. You never really want to keep buying furniture as your children age, so with these pieces they work for a younger or older child’s style.

The fun orbit chair may be something you change out once your child is older. For the fun vintage street signs though, a younger child would love them as they’re playing with toy cars, yet an older teen may appreciate them for their cool design factor. I really kept this design more simple and let the pieces speak for themselves! Check it out, and let me know what you think. Everything will be linked down below.

Thanks for stopping by, XO G.
