Patterned Rugs & Curtains

Hi Everyone! It has been a few weeks since my last post. My schedule has been busy and then my computer decided it needed to stop charging, so I had to send it out for a couple weeks for repair. But I am back and today am sharing some pattern and color matching between rugs and curtains from Crate & Barrel. I’ll have the links to each below! Hope you find some inspiration and if you have any questions feel free to contact me!

Thanks for stopping by, xo G

Ottoman Fun

Making it halfway through the week calls for some fun inspiration. In the design world, to me, that’s the accent pieces! There’s a million different furniture ideas and layouts you can work with to fill a space, but ottomans seem almost essential most of the time. Below I found some great tufted ottomans and included a link to purchase similar styles!

Let me know which one is your favorite or if you’e been looking for a specific style and are stuck! xo, G

Backsplash Guide | TileBar

Happy Sunday! With the new week ahead I have some fun new material I’ve put together. When starting from the foundation of a space, I think one of the harder and most important pieces are the starting materials that need to coordinate together! Today I’ve pieced together counter tops with two different backsplashes each, glass and stone. I searched Home Depot for the counters and TileBar for the backsplash tiles. Check the guides down below, from a light to dark look, and let me know what you think!

To the left is the glass tile that has a blue hue to it that would pick up on the silver and blue undertones in the quartz counter top. In the upper right, the marble stone and mirrored tile would brighten up the counter even more, but still play into the silver tones with the mirrored detail.

The fun glass patterned tile pairs perfectly with the greige colored quartz counter top. With the two different materials there would be a smooth transition from the stone up to the patterned backsplash. Below in the left, the marble chevron tile, picks up on similar vein lines and the dark taupe color in the pattern would play off the counter and bring more dynamic to the space.

For the last look I found an intricate dark granite counter top with some black and more green undertones to them. By choosing the mossy glass colored tile, the green undertones are picked up nicely. A more subtle color play can be picked up on the counter tops. The black and marble stone patterned tile hides the green tones more and crosses color with the ivory marble.

I hope this brought some inspiration to you in putting together a new kitchen or bathroom look! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week! xo, G

Summer Dining

Hi everyone and welcome back! It has been a couple of weeks since my last post. As I finished up finals and am now into a summer schedule, I can’t wait to share more home design and decor inspiration with you all!

Today I went online to Pier1.com to find some summertime inspiration for entertaining outdoors. I started with some fun dinnerware patterns and went for a melamine material, which is a harder plastic, perfect for using outside. The tumblers are acrylic too so there isn’t going to be a huge worry of breaking anything while entertaining.

Of course you need some space filled with some seating for people to enjoy! I love the look of a concrete table for outdoors, but sometimes those can be a little more pricey. I found the one below at Pier1 Imports for a fairly modest price when compared to others though. The dark weaved bistro chairs pair perfectly and the umbrella lights add a fun summer touch to any outdoor space.

I’ll have everything linked through the text below. And check out my previous post for more summer space inspiration! Thanks for checking it out, xo G.

Styling Inspiration|Canopy Beds

Hello everyone, and Happy Friday! As I am finishing up the end of my 2nd year of college I have been dreaming of some much needed rest and relaxation. While taking a break between studying, I found a few gorgeous and different trends of canopy beds. To me personally, I find that canopy beds are meant to make you want to stay there all day, for as long as possible. So these next rooms would be sure to bring some R&R to anyone!

The three designs fit with different individual styles and comfort. From a sophisticated high end room, a brighter white beach design, to a darker oasis seeming to be tucked away in nature, we can all find an escape amid any chaos. I’ll have the link to each design below if you want to check the designers.

I hope you all have a great weekend and you find some time for relaxing if needed! Thanks for stopping by, xo G

Bronzed and Browned Toned Kitchen

Happy Sunday everyone! I took some time this week to put together a kitchen design totally different from the last kitchen post I had. The colors are on the darker and warm color side compared to a typical white kitchen we see more of. I still made the design fun with a bronze back splash and more modern center island pendant, so the look doesn’t feel so traditional.

Take a look below at the materials, I  will have everything linked through text. I even included a rough floor plan design to give you an idea of what the space could look like. Thanks for checking it out, and as always, feel free to comment or send a question!

Wednesday White: Kitchens

Hi everyone, it’s finally Wednesday, we’re half way through the week! Today I am sharing some kitchen inspiration. You can never go wrong with a white kitchen, and these four designs all bring a different style to them. The second kitchen is my top favorite. I love the more farmhouse look it has with the brick style back splash and the  simple black hardware and counter tops. Take a look at the rest, which one is your favorite?

Mix & Match Master Bedroom

Happy Monday everybody! Today I’ve created a vision board of a bedroom look, pieced from Restoration Hardware. I mixed and matched different fabric textures all together, but stayed with the same colors, giving more of a modern look to the room. This is just the base, smaller details and accents could/would be incorporated as well. Similar items can be found elsewhere too, but the links to each direct piece will be below. What’s your favorite piece in this design? What would you do differently?

Sunday Blues: Bathroom Edition

And just like that another week is ahead of us! Sundays are bittersweet to me. I’m usually not up to anything, just preparing for the school or work week, hoping it’s another good one! So in spirit of today’s ‘feeling blue’, here is an inspiration look of a blue styled bathroom I put together. Everything will be linked below according to the description name.

My favorite place to find fun tiles is online at tilebar. There’s always a fun pattern to try and incorporate into a design. The vanity itself is also set as an inspiration. I like to make more counter space if possible. It would be painted a darker navy to pick up on the detail in the floor tile and the pulls would be exchanged for knobs. All other details are from a few other places I like to check out when designing.

Here’s to a new week! xo, G
