Color Series: Master Bedroom

Hi everyone and welcome to the final design in this color series! Today I’ve used Benjamin Moore’s STAINED GLASS. It’s a blue paint hinted with green leading me to create a cozy space fit for the Winter mountains. Something about this color and the Holidays upon us that had me picturing a luxury spa resort in the mountain. The canopy bed is dramatic, while the wood toned nightstands are a soft touch. Don’t forget that fun cozy sheepskin bench. This one may be a little out there, but it’s different! Let me know what you think! And as always – thanks for stopping by. XO, G

Color Series: Boys Nursery

Welcome to the 3rd color inspired design in this series! We all know that neutrals are trendy, a monochromatic color palette, but would you think to go darker? Today’s design was inspired by Benjamin Moore’s 2025 Color Trends – Chowning’s Tan and Leather Saddle Brown. The two also pair beautifully with a creamy white if you want a brighter space with a darker accent wall. But I love a room styled to keep you feeling warm and cozy, and I think this one does just that by bringing in these dark brown tones. Also, how sweet is the Blessed Are the Children art piece above the crib. Take a look below and let me know what you think! XO – G

Color Series: Living Room

Welcome to a new 4 week design series! These next designs are inspired by Benjamin Moore’s 2025 Color Trends. First up is Rosepine and Paris Rain! I was hoping there would be a Green color palette suitable for a relaxing living room. This color always seems to draw me back to nature, letting a grounding energy come through. The furniture pieces are cozy and neutral, with pops of wood tones in the end and coffee tables. Remember to always add in fun elements to your space with accent pieces. A textured rug, fun pillows, and art work that speaks to you. I hope this color palette and design brought you inspiration! As always, thanks for stopping by and see you next week 🙂 XO, G

Summer Screened-In Porch

Happy FIRST day of Summer!! I’m getting this post out just in time for all the Summer time vibes. Do you ever just look at something, sometimes smell or taste a thing, and it takes you back? Well, that’s how my mind acted when piecing together my latest design inspo below. I’m not sure if it was the red, white and blue – my favorite Summer time memory – or if it was the crisp, cool and relaxing patterns and tones, but it brought me to Summer! Take a look below and let me know what you think. Where is your dream location to be in the Summer? XO, G

Dreaming Up a Laundry Room

Kitchens and Living

The heart of almost every home is the kitchen! You’re in there for at least three meals of the day, and if you think about it, whenever there is a gathering of people, there has to be food. For this reason, it’s a no brainer why every modern floorplan today leans towards an open concept – grabbing a snack at the large kitchen island and being able to sit close by on your couch. My apartment is already like that and I can’t imagine living any other way! When it comes to design though, the overall aesthetic of your homes floor, walls and cabinetry can really make a difference as to how you design your living spaces. The kitchen typically creates the foundation for a home’s overall feel and style, so today I’m bringing a design totally opposite from my current modern, bright and clean lined apartment kitchen and living room.

My inspiration started here:

And led me to this:

A warm, very traditional, with pops of patterns mixed along! I really started with the flooring and cabinet color. Mixed in a more neutral kitchen surface and backsplash to bring the pattern alive as the star of this room. Let me know what you think and if you’re wondering how else I would complete this look. A couch, pillows, bar stools, anything. I’ll have everything linked down below. Thanks for checking it out. XO, G

Mixed Neutral Formal Dining

Envisioning my own future space is tough. This one took me awhile! It was hard to design as I wanted it to be perfect and still flow with the rest of the rooms I have planned for my dream home. Hopefully I can share with you the floor plan eventually! The formal dining room is right off of the main entry way, so it invites your guests in, along with the formal living room that is across from it. I want those two rooms to be a main focus and develop the style and feel of my home. I’m going for something that is more traditional, slightly an old world European style, yet has touches of modern elements throughout. You can see I made that work by mixing together greys and beiges, with touches of gold accents.

Vintage Boys Room

Hi everyone and happy Monday! I am not sure where February went, I looked back at my last post and realized it has been almost a month. I am back today though with another design! I wanted to design a bedroom for a boy that could stay with him through toddler years to teen years. You never really want to keep buying furniture as your children age, so with these pieces they work for a younger or older child’s style.

The fun orbit chair may be something you change out once your child is older. For the fun vintage street signs though, a younger child would love them as they’re playing with toy cars, yet an older teen may appreciate them for their cool design factor. I really kept this design more simple and let the pieces speak for themselves! Check it out, and let me know what you think. Everything will be linked down below.

Thanks for stopping by, XO G.

Neutral Animal Nursery

What’s the next cutest thing to a brand new baby? Baby animals! That’s exactly what the inspiration was for this nursery. I came across the cutest animal paintings by Kate and Laurel from Target. There were so many to choose from, but I ended up picking the baby lion, bear and cheetah. I wanted to keep this nursery gender neutral, as I envisioned a more natural space surrounding the art pieces.

The furniture I found is more modern, as are most of the accent pieces, but this design could totally be done around a more traditional styled home. You could change out the side table and dresser for something with a cleaner look and simpler lines. That’s the fun thing about design, things can always be changed up or replaced! Let me know what you think, XO, G.

Fun Pastel Girl’s Room

Welcome to 2019! This year is all about the launch of Greta Lee Designs. Greta is my first name, and Lee is my middle name. All of these designs are finally coming together as what I envisioned, if I even really knew what that was, but I am proud of the content, and I hope you are loving it too!

So here is my first design, officially branded with my name, greta LEE designs! This is a fun room for a little girl, which she could also grow with through age. I kept the headboard, furniture and accent pieces more feminine so that a 5 year old could be in this room, or a 16 year old. The bedding would probably be the first thing I would change out, if wanted, with age.

Everything was found either at Target, Crate&Kids, PotteryBarnKids and the artwork is by Minted. I’ll have everything linked below as always. Thanks for stopping by and following along with the start of greta LEE designs! xo, G
