Styling Spaces: Bath & Laundry

Happy Friday! Who’s been doing their Fall cleaning?! I always find myself in a mood to clean with each new season. And what makes cleaning even better?? When your space is beautifully created. It makes things feel just put together! Today’s design is all about the rooms you’re cleaning in – the bath and laundry rooms. These spaces are not always the most glamorous, but there are pockets of space to create some sophistication. I love to find style in storage pieces in these spaces like baskets and jars. Small wall décor can also go a long way. Adding a wall shelf to your laundry or bathroom adds room for storage and styling pieces too. Check out the details below and let me know what you think! How do you make your laundry and bath rooms feel more elevated? Thanks for stopping by – XO, G

Styling Spaces: Kitchen & Dining

Welcome to my next design series! My favorite thing – styling a space. From open shelving, an end table, the walls, we will style it all when it comes to Greta Lee Designs! I try to be more minimal when it comes to styling, but you want to fill a space with just enough to bring warmth and dimension to it. Bare spaces are a no! These next 4 weeks I’ll take you through 4 different spaces of a home. First up is the heart of a home. The kitchen & dining rooms! Styling a kitchen is so fun, because most of the pieces you are going to use. Makes it somewhat easier, and practical. I’ve pieced together the finds below inspired by my own kitchen! A serving board for breads, pizza night or a charcuterie board. I love any type of serving bowl for hosting. And don’t forget to display those cookbooks! You can pull those out and read them like a magazine. I hope you feel inspired to bring some life to your kitchen cabinets and gather some people around food! Come back next week for round 2 of styling your space! XO – G

A Bear in the Forest – Nursery Design

Week 3 of my nursery design series! Which one will be your favorite?! Today’s design is inspired by a camo print blanket I’m working on sewing. I pieced a room around it, wanting a space to bring you into another world. Just like the forest does! Wallpaper is a really fun way to dress up a room and transport you somewhere else. This pine tree print varying in shades of green is almost dreamy. You might be taken to a drive up the mountains, or to the Christmas tree farm where the snow has fallen. It’s just perfect! I chose another iron crib by Namesake, this time in gold. I loved the contrast here against the green, but it does come in two other finishes. A crib is really what grounds a nursery, but I kept the dresser and glider still different and fun. I went with a taller dresser this time, although you may want to do lower for an easier changing station. The changing basket in front of the dresser can be moved around the house too if you’d like. And then how sweet and cozy is the textured glider. I need to see it in person soon! These designs are all about inspiring you and hoping you find a piece that excites you as you dream up your next space!

Make sure to check out the links below to the décor pieces. The fun bear accents like the bear mobile, bear bookends or the classic bear rocker. I also found the animal tracks art piece to be so fun! Modern Art Deco Nursery by G

Hello and happy Friday! Today I’ve put together a design inspired by this midi sized blanket I sewed. It’s a baby pink background with a terrazzo print of navy, orange and white. It’s my take on modern art deco. When I found a rug that matched my blanket print, the visualization of this space just took off! I was envisioning a natural white crib for this space so I knew I had to start shopping at Babyletto. The acrylic rails to their Harlow crib make this piece really stand out. For this design, a matching dresser set fit the space I envision. I love to mix and match dressers and cribs, but sometimes a set is just too good to not stay cohesive. I kept the finishing accents simple, with room to add your own pieces already sourced, or to thrift new ones inspired by this design. Maybe a vintage lamp, a fun mirror or your own unique prints or artwork. For an added fun share, I placed a padded play mat by Gathre along with a modern toy bar in this nursery design. Every little piece is simple, yet very sophisticated for the modern baby! I hope you enjoyed this week’s design and I’ll be back next week with another one. Don’t forget to like my Instagram post and see the blanket print behind the design!
