Hello and happy Friday! I was recently inspired when someone told me they were envisioning an all black living space. Your immediate reaction is to think, oh no, that could not work. But with some thinking, planning and a vision of how I could come up with a realistic ‘all black’ living room, I designed something a little more modern, starting with a black couch, and bringing in brighter pieces to keep it not so dark. Hello! It’s finally Thursday! I’ve started my week off with a full plate of things to check off the list, but I wanted to get a post out this week, so here I am!

I love spaces that incorporate color, allowing your eyes to open up in the space. Below you can see I used a lot of greens and blues, which are my favorite bright neutral colors to use in shared living spaces. You might be terrified of the green couch, thinking it looks outdated, but remember things can always be brought to life with accents such as pillows, throw blankets and the furniture around them.
